HOW TO BUY TICKETS FOR KASPROWY WIERCH CABLE CAR?

The cable car to Kasprowy Wierch is open all year round, including on all holidays (except for a week in November, when maintenance works are carried out). Tickets can be purchased directly at the ticket office in Kuznice or in advance - in the online store, at ticket machines or at PKL customer service points.

You can reach the top of Kasprowy Wierch using several trails. The shortest, green one, leads along the cable car route, through Myślenickie Turnie. The second popular trail is the route leading through Hala Gąsienicowa. It is worth knowing that hiking to Kasprowy Wierch sometimes takes less time than standing in line at the ticket office in Kuźnice...

HOW TO GET TO THE KASPROWY WIERCH CABLE CAR?

The most convenient way to get to Kuźnice, where the cable car station to Kasprowy Wierch is located, is to take a taxi straight from the hotel. A cheaper option is a public bus or minibus. By private car you can get only to Rondo Jana Pawla II.

Note please that both ski slopes on Kasprowy Wierch (Gąsienicowa and Goryczkowa) are quite difficult and that there is no slope for beginners on Kasprowy Wierch.

TOURPASS is a tourist ticket that includes cable car travel (one-way or round-trip) and entry to the Tatra National Park. SKIPASS includes a cable car trip to Kasprowy Wierch, entry to the National Park and ski lift rides. On this website I use the terms ticket and TOURPASS interchangeably
The train ride from Kuznice to Kasprowy Wierch, with a change between carriages at the Myslenickie Turnie intermediate station, takes about 20 minutes.
Tickets for the cable car to Kasprowy Wierch can be purchased in the online store from one to 30 days before the planned cable car ride.
In my opinion, a visit to Kasprowy Wierch is almost a must-see during your stay in the Tatra Mountains area. Active and fit tourists can easily complete this trip on foot, but older people, families with children and tourists who simply do not like walking in the mountains should take the cable car to Kasprowy to admire the views, see the meteorological observatory (the highest situated building in Poland) and to see the cable car stations - lower, middle and upper, which are almost 90 years old.
During the high season, the cable car from Kuźnice to Kasprowy Wierch (and the return one from Kasprowy Wierch to Kuźnice) leaves every 10 minutes. When attendance is low, when there are few people willing to ride, the carriages run every half an hour. Each cable car can take 60 people.
